The Toronto Raptors are playing very well so far this year. They currently share the best record in the league (12-2) with the Memphis Grizzlies. One of the best players on the team is DeMar DeRozan. On Tuesday night he appeared on the Fan Night pre-game show on NBA TV to discuss the team. He also accidentally let some other information spill. DeMar DeRozan says Drake has a mixtape dropping in January.
Drake is a Toronto native and the Global Ambassador for the Toronto Raptors. He’s not only help increase the popularity of the team, he’s also become very close with the players. DeRozan was asked what it’s like to have someone like Drake supporting the team.
“Drake is great man, it’s incredible having that type of artist of his magnitude be able to support us the way he do, coming out for games whenever he’s not busy doing his music thing. It’s definitely an amazing thing because he definitely do support us, it’s not just for show; he comes in the locker room, talk to him. I talked to him the other night, actually he said wanna give me his mixtape that come out January.”
We haven’t gotten a mixtape from Drake in years but he has been working on his next album Views From the 6. Hmm, I guess we’ll have to wait and see what we get.
