The Sacramento Kings beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 113-101 on Saturday night. DeMarcus Cousins came up huge once again with 31 points and 18 rebounds. The Timberwolves did have some positives however as rookie Andrew Wiggins had a career-high 29 points and added five rebounds and two assists. Shabazz Muhammad however may have had the highlight of the night.
Shabazz Muhammad has definitely been showing off his hops with the Timberwolves getting up in the air at least once a night. Saturday night was no different as he had a pair of dunks back to back during the second quarter of the game. The first came off a missed layup from Chase Budinger. Muhammed followed up with a putback slam dunk. Derrick Williams then lost the ball on the other end thanks to Andrew Wiggins who tipped it out to Muhammed. He took off on a fastbreak and finished with a dunk from just inside the free throw line. Actually it was from the dotted line. The thunderous dunk brought the crowd to their feet.
The Timberwolves young squad still has some kinks to work out but they definitely have something to look forward to. If it helps any, the Cavs are currently struggling…
