A woman with a gun is arrested outside the White House. She was spotted with a gun near the White House Fence. The White House is having more security breaches lately with a man being arrested outside the White House this past Wednesday after Secret Service agents found him with a hunting rifle and ammunition in his car. Agent’s spotted the woman with a gun in a holster as she was standing outside near the White House fence at around 8:30 p.m. She was standing outside the fence just 15 minutes after President Obama had finished addressing the nation in the East Room of the White House. At the time, the president was discussing his executive action plans to change the immigration policy.
The woman who has now been identified as 23-year-old April Lenhart, from Michigan, was quickly arrested. Lenhart was carrying a 9 mm gun. CBS reported that she is being uncooperative in questioning, and is now facing charges of possessing an unregistered firearm. Just this past September, a man jumped the fence of the White House and he made it inside the building before being caught. Julia Pierson, the director of the Secret Service resigned in October. April Lenhart is now facing the charges of possessing an unregistered firearm and unregistered ammunition, and also for carrying a pistol without a license.
Crazy! What a scary situation!
