Foot Locker has struck gold with these latest commercials because they’re hilarious. In promoting it’s “Week of Greatness” event, James Harden, Tim Duncan and Derrick Rose have a bit of fun with their respective reputations.
James Harden is known as one of the worse defensive players in the game. In the commercial they ask Harden if he’s going to the event and he says “of course, why wouldn’t I go?” They tell him don’t get defensive in which he responds: ‘I’m never defensive. Ask around.”
The next commercial plays on Tim Duncan and Derrick Rose’s reputation of always remaining stoic. While other players get excited and show extreme emotion, Duncan and Rose are known for always maintaining the same expression. So when they’re asked if they’re excited about the event, they show their “excitement” in a hilarious way.
