We’re just a few games into the season and the Cavaliers started off a little slow as the new teammates took time to gel together. That should’ve been expected but it didn’t stop fans from freaking out and reporters from speculating that Kevin Love will opt-out and join a new team; reportedly the Lakers. Here’s what Love has to say about those rumors.

“Whatever (people assumed Irving and I) were doing with our hands was about as true as me going to the Lakers,” Love said before Friday’s game against the Boston Celtics, according to ESPN.com. “I mean, I don’t know why it was so hard for people to realize that we were actually curling our mustache. I guess because I had my fingers in the wrong place. Looking at the tape — film don’t lie — it looks like we are doing something bad, but that wasn’t the case.”
Love, who went to UCLA and has long been rumored to desire an LA return, was then specifically asked about the Lakers report, saying, “No, that’s not true.”
The issue he’s referring to with Kyrie Irving is when people thought they were smoking imaginary blunts in their victory handshake. The Cavaliers later explained that they were curling their mustache. As for the Lakers report I think it’s way too early to speculate what he’ll do. We have to see how much success the Cavaliers have this year.
