Well no one saw this coming! Mega producer Hit-Boy announced on Wednesday (November 12) that he is retiring from music production.
After rising to fame from producing Jay Z and Kanye West’s 2011 hit “Ni**as in Paris” for their joint album Watch the Throne, and going on to work with superstars including Beyoncé, Rihanna, Drake, Mariah Carey, and Kendrick Lamar; the 27-year-old tweeted the shocking news of his retirement.
“I retired from music industry production last night,” he tweet Wednesday afternoon.
There has been no further information given and it’s unclear what he plans to do next, but he has been focusing on his rap career and running his label “Hits Since 1987.”
