The legendary Ms. Aretha Franklin was asked in her recent interview with the Wall Street Journal about the popular artists of today and she had some… well, she was honest about how she felt! She had a few nice things to say about Adele stating she was a “good singer” and about Alicia Keys stating that she was a “good writer”. The responses she gave for Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift hmmmmmmmm you be the judge of that!

Aretha was asked what she thought about Taylor Swift and her reply was “great gowns, beautiful gowns”, never did she acknowledge her singing! When Nicki’s name was thrown in the mix, she simply didn’t have anything to say at all. She replied “I’m going to pass on that one”. Sheesh! Tell us how you really feel Aretha!
