On Monday night during the Brooklyn’s Nets home opener, Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov had some pretty harsh words for former head coach Jason Kidd.  Things obviously didn’t end on good terms since Kidd demanded more money and power then abruptly left to coach to the Milwaukee Bucks when the power play didn’t work.  Prokhorov’s words got back to Kidd and this is what he had to say.

“I’m no longer in Brooklyn,” Kidd said. “Unfortunately they keep talking about it. I don’t. I’ll let them keep talking.

“Now if it was me and him playing 1-on-1 on the court, that would be fine.”

Many reporters at the presser took this quote to mean a challenge.  Now I don’t know if Prokhorov has any basketball skills but he certainly has the height.  When I met him he towered over me (I’m short) but he towered over other reporters as well.  I would love to see him and Kidd play one-on-one but we know that won’t happen.

The Bucks and Nets will meet on Nov. 19 for the first time this season (crosses fingers).
