Man-oh-Man…Young Jeezy is playing with fire – in a way. After having a sit down with VLADtv, the rapper discusses his standpoint on the legal battle he faces with Bishop T.D. Jakes.

It was reported that Jeezy used a snippet of Jakes’ Don’t Let the Chatter Stop You sermon for the intro to the hit single, “Holy Ghost” featuring Kendrick Lamar. The famed preacher and his flock of followers announced that the piece was used without anyone’s knowledge. Well, now Jeezy has a response for the pending lawsuit.

Jeezy claims that he and his team of engineers weren’t even planning on using the snippet, it’s just somehow the single got leaked so they ran with it. The Snowman understands that the bishop doesn’t want to be associated with him, because of his reputation. “It’s almost like with Barack [Obama],” he’s a man of status. and people look up to him.

“T.D Jakes even though it really had nothing to do with me it was like some engineer sh*t because we had all agreed to take it off and some kind of way the sh*t it got leaked out beyond my knowledge actually I was just getting out at the time so I didn’t even know that was going on anyway but at the same time I feel like — look man you know whatever however it comes out but if it was me I would give God the praise you feel what I’m saying? Because those are Gods words you feel what I’m saying? And if you want your words to touch people it got to touch people that’s really going through it everybody because those are Gods words you know why not give God the praise?”
