Amc and the satellite company Direct Tv have a contract that expires at the end of the year. The two sides are currently in contract negotiations that are reportedly heading nowhere.
One of the most popular television series “The Walking Dead” has kept audiences on the edge of their seats from their first season in 2010. Now certain die hard fans may be in jeopardy of loosing their beloved show. Amc and Direct Tv are currently in contract disputes which could see “The Walking Dead” leave Direct Tv altogether. Source Variety reports on the November 2nd airing of “The Walking Dead” Direct Tv customers were urged to call 855-Keep-AMC or visit KeepAMC.com in an effort to try and raise awareness. Also reporting that Direct TV has dropped AMC in Latin America. Lets hope these two sides can come to an equal and fair conclusion. Lets be honest, its the fans that make the show and regardless of the network loosing viewers is bad for business. With the first episode of the 5th season reeling in an estimated 17 million viewers its tough to think the sides will split. The last episode of the fifth season is set to air on November 30th, hopefully AMC and Direct TV can come to an agreement. It would be sad to see fans loose a great show.
