Walmart is at it again….. recently the super store giant was in the media for their alleged “fat girl” section of costumes. See what new Halloween scandal arises with them.
Seems like there are only tricks no treats for superstore giant Walmart this Halloween. In light of their “Fat girl” costume section snafu. Walmart is in the media again for there newest costume scandal.
“Mens Pashtun Papa Costume,” which consists of a Middle Eastern looking garb and a long beard along with a description that reads as “Nothing is sacred this Halloween. Shock your friends with this Islamic costume.” Is rubbing many the wrong way. Qasim Rashid, spokesperson for Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA was the one to discover the costume and put Walmart on blast via twitter.
Wow @Walmart jumping on the opportunity to make money off racism against Pashtuns this Halloween.

Imagine the backlash if @Walmart sold a “Jewish” costume or “Black face” costume. But b/c its a costume mocking Pashtuns & Muslims it’s “OK”
In response Walmart has apologized for this “snafu” stating
“We are deeply sorry, that this costume made it onto our website,” Brooke Buchanan, senior director of Walmart Corporate Communications, told Global News. “Walmart is in the process of removing the costume from the site and actively urging all other retailers to do the same.”
Walmart has pulled the Men’s Pashtun Papa costume after many social media users told them how they really felt about this “costume”.
