Earlier this week, Ashanti stopped by Hot 97’s Morning Show to talk her Christmas album, A Wonderful Christmas with Ashanti, but of course the conversation drifted to her ex-boo, Nelly. The pair were together for quite sometime, which is why many hearts were broken when they separated. You know how it is with that one ex though – you just keep coming back, because the sex game is on smash.

Ashanti discusses when the last time the two smacked skins and the break-up. “The truth of me and him is way more bizarre than what the perception is,” she says.

On the last time she had sex with Nelly:
“It’s been a while, but it hasn’t been a whole year yet.”

On their relationship/breakup:
“That whole situation…If people were to know the truth, the truth is more bizarre than the perception…The truth of me and him is way more bizarre than what the perception is. If you knew what was really going down, you would be like…WHAT?!?”

On their relationship being a “secret“:
“A lot of people had perceptions of claiming and not claiming and who was running this and who was running that. To clear a little bit of that, a lot of that was me. I’ll come out and say it because I don’t like to have my stuff on blast like that. Sometimes that can make another person feel like, ‘What’s up with that?’ It was a long time, a lot of years and in a relationship, things are 360. Sometimes it turns. One person may feel a certain way at this portion and then the next few years it flips and the other person feel a certain way. You see what I’m saying? I’m trying to give it without giving all of it.”
