The Knicks will have significant cap space in 2015 and it’s been widely reported that they will target Marc Gasol.

The New York Knicks don’t appear positioned to be a championship contender in the near future. But could that change by pairing Gasol with Carmelo Anthony? There already is a strong belief that Knicks boss Phil Jackson will target Gasol because of his belief that Gasol is the quintessential center to play in the triangle offense.
The former Defensive Player of the Year would certainly be a great addition to the Knicks who badly need help in that area. He also can score in the post, is a good passer and has a high basketball IQ. Phil Jackson coached his brother Pau Gasol and believes Marc can also fit perfectly into the triangle.
