Chrissy Teigen has never been afraid to voice her opinion on Twitter, but this time her opinion has her receiving some backlash following some tweet she wrote about the fatal shooting at Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
The Sports Illustrated model has admitted in the past that she had regretted sending out certain tweet “all the time” in the heat in the moment, but this time she is not apologizing them.
On Wednesday, Teigen took to Twitter to write about the shooting at Parliament Hill in Ottawa, which left one member of the armed forces dead and the city on lockdown.
In an attempt to shed some light on America’s ongoing gun violence, she wrote: “Active shooting in Canada, or as we call it in America, Wednesday.”
Some followers were not happy with her tweet and sent the supermodel death threats! One follower tweeted: “Rot in hell bitch” and “Sorry Canada, our Hollywood elits and its dumb models are idiots. Wish ISIS would give Chrissy a permanent haircut.”
Followed by another, saying: “@fvvvvvvvvvvvvck I hope someone murders some you love, like your f—-t husband” and wrote, “Amazing this isn’t punishable.”
The 28-year-old had finally had enough, and sent of her time tweets saying: “It’s gotten to the point people don’t even see he simplicity of the original tweet and have just wanted to get shaking-mad over something.” In her final tweet, she wrote, “I feel sick. Bye Twitter. Taking my talents to instagram.”
