All the schools have been trying to make a splash for Midnight Madness including Kentucky who brought out Drake. Well Texas Tech’s coach Tubby Smith tried to take it a bit further but his entrance is worse than Drake shooting airballs.
For Texas Tech’s Midnight Madness, head coach Tubby Smith dressed up as Shaft and made his entrance on a motorcycle.
He made an entire digital short dressed as actor Richard Roundtree’s character in the original 1971 film and topped the whole thing off by entering the arena on a chopper bike with some pyrotechnics.
It was really cool until he fell off of the motorcycle while trying to bring it to a stop.
Smith got up, was totally fine, and then asked if he’d scratched the court with his tumble.
