Playing Vegan seems to be the new fade these days. Now Director Lee Daniels – the man responsible for The Butler movie is thinking about opening a vegan restaurant. More after the jump…
According to PageSix, the talented Director wants to open a Vegan in Manhattan, NYC by way of staying healthy. He said: “As I’ve gotten older, I’ve gained weight…African Americans, we have to be careful of our weight — so I am thinking about opening a vegan soul food restaurant.”
Sounds nice. Reporters asked if he is actually a vegan himself and he reveal is slowly on his way to a vegan lifestyle, “I’m trying to be. I’m getting there, I’m down to fish and egg whites,” adding “Coming from someone who would eat pig’s ass for a while, it’s a great thing.”
If you’re missing the talents of Daniels, he is currently working on a new series “Empire,” based in the hip-hop world.
