On behalf of his non-profit, The Sean Anderson Foundation, Big Sean joined fellow celebs Katie Couric, Joe Jonas, Selena Gomez and Orlando Bloom for “We Day” in Toronto recently. The event was aimed to uplift and inspire youth empowerment, and included more than 40,000 students, who obtained tickets to the event in exchange for community service. For his part, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper spoke to the young minds about the serious effects bullying can have. Check out a few excerpts from his speech below, as well as a few more pics.

“Growing up in Detroit I’ve seen many people around me suffer from depression, because of issues they were faced with, and for one person I knew who was close to our family, it even lead to suicide. These issues are too real.”
“I want you all to remember, we are all more alike than different. We all have dreams and goals, and we’re all on the pursuit of happiness.”
