Ashoka Mukpo is a 33 year old America freelance cameraman who was working for NBC News in Liberia. He was hired on Tuesday to be a second cameraman for NBC News Chief Medical Editor and Correspondent Dr. Nancy Snyderman. Unfortunately he will not be able to complete this assignment because he is being flown back to the U.S. to receive medical treatment for the Ebola virus.

Over the last 3 years, Mukpo has been working on numerous projects in Liberia and he is now the fourth American person that has contracted the virus there. NBC News reported that the cameraman came down with a fever and multiple symptoms on Wednesday, he took no chances and quarantined himself. On Thursday he admitted himself into the Frontierest Treatment center to be tested for the deadly virus and just 12 hours later, his results came back positive.

WOW! He had happy news one day and literally the next day, everything changed!

Kent Brantly and Nancy Writebol, were American aid workers, both came in contact with the virus in July while in Monrovia. In September, Rick Sacra was diagnosed with Ebola after working in Liberia at a local hospital.
