Shad Moss explains how he is mirroring Diddy’s blueprint for success, but doing much quicker and all at once.
After Bow Wow changed his stage name to his actual name, Shad Moss, door just started opening for the rapper/actor/host. “As soon as I made that switch, you know, CSI comes and then my vodka deal comes,” Moss stated.
Back in August, Moss announced had signed on to star CBS’ upcoming CSI spinoff, CSI: Cyber. To top it off, he also a new vodka line, “NDI,” that is launching this fall. “I’m the first African-American to own, 100% own his vodka, you know what I’m saying. And for me that’s big for a 27-year-old,” he told HipHollywood.
HipHollywood caught up with Moss on the “Green Carpet” at the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards, and asked him about the new opportunities arising since he’s changed his name. He plans to not only follow in Diddy’s footsteps, he plans to surpass the hip-hip mogul.
“I’m getting started early … see Puff, not that he waited but I’m just attacking all the sh*t he doing now but I’m doing it way younger. So you know, by the time I’m his age, hopefully, either Imma pass him or I should be right there with him.”
