Wife of 18 years, Erika Riker, filed for divorce on Friday and if all goes smoothly is to gain half of his fortune. Since the pair did not have a prenup all of Jackson’s earnings while married is fair game, this includes the monies earned while judging on American Idol. While Jackson did bring funds into the marriage it is now impossible to decipher what “property” was solely his because their money has been commingled over the years.

It is said that Jackson’s estimated worth is in the ballpark of $40 million and that he raked in about $5 million a year during his run on Idol.

A source close to the couple says they are still living together and getting along just fine.
