Chris Brown opens up about how self conscious he was to be released from jail, because he felt that his weight has significantly changed.
AWWW poor Chris… Hit the jump to find out what he had to say.
When the “Loyal” singer was released from jail back in June, many fans noticed that he gained a lot of weight. For some, people were happy that he finally packed on the pounds cause he had previously been looking very thin, but others thought it was more interesting to joke about his weight gain.
Headlines said “Chris Brown Looking A Bit Chubby After Prison” and “Did Chris Brown Let Himself Go?” Jeez! He just was released from prison, be chill!
Well as confident as Chris seems, it actually bothered him a lot that he gained about 30+ pounds.
“My normal weight is like 180, I was 215 when I got out of jail… I couldn’t fit in my jeans, fit in my clothes. I was scared to go out, I was like man, people will see me and I look fat so after a while I went and played a lot of basketball, a lot of cardio, we did the New Flame video, BET awards, a couple of other shows, I was always dancing, always dancing, trying to get my body back.”
Now-a-days you can see Brown looking a lot slimmer and healthier. Luckily, Chris Brown has been able to consult his therapist this whole time about his issues with his weight and we can see it’s been working!
“I see my therapist twice a week, it’s amazing and I was at first adamant about it, like, ‘I don’t want to go to therapy, I’m not going to talk to anybody,’ but as I went through it and kept talking, it’s actually very therapeutic.” AS IT SHOULD BE!
“For me it was more of an opportunity for me to understand my feelings and understand what I was dealing with in my own life.”
We’re happy that Chris Brown is putting himself on the right path to being more healthy and figuring out life.
