“Fashion Police” will continue without Joan Rivers. Rivers was the original star of the show which first premiered in 2010 with her daughter as an executive producer. After Rivers suddenly passed away at age 81 after suffering cardiac arrest, the network, E!, had to decide if they would continue to air the show.
In a statement, E! said, “We are deeply saddened by the loss of Joan Rivers and, for the last two weeks, have turned our attention to honoring her memory on all of our platforms…we have also thought long and hard about what Joan would have wanted as it pertains to the future of ‘Fashion Police,'” which led to the decision to continue the show, the channel said. E! did not mention if there would be a replacement for Joan on the show.
New episodes of “Fashion Police” will air in January 2015.
