Fans were hype to see a new promo poster for ‘Love & Basketball 2′ surface on the Internet Sept. 17. So will Omar Epps and Sanaa Lathan be coming back together for a sequel?

Omar Epps, 41, and Sanaa Lathan, 42, were beyond amazing in Love & Basketball [that’s my favorite movie] and the film displays one of the finest romantic relationships of its time. But now, 14 years later, the two stars are rumored to be reuniting for a sequel!
Unfortunately, this is TOTALLY false.
A new promo poster for Love & Basketball 2, featuring Omar and Sanaa, made its rounds on the internet BUT this dream of the two stars reuniting will never find its way to the big screen.
Sanaa spoke out how likely a sequel was for Love & Basketball sequel in February 2014, telling TheGrio.com, “The story was kind of complete in my mind.”
Looks like leading man, Omar, feels exactly the same. He and the movie’s creator, Gina Prince-Bythewood, both took to Twitter to quiet all the rumors on Sept. 17. Here’s what they had to say:
