Welp, there goes that case. As the legal battle between Robin Thicke and the family of Marvin Gaye continues, Robin Thicke puts a foot in his mouth by sitting in a deposition and admitting to being high during the writing of “Blurred Lines“. If that isn’t enough, he and then puts all creative processes (blame) on Pharrell, who has denied biting off of Marvin Gaye’s track, “Got To Give It Up“. Tsk Tsk.

After being asked if he had any input on the writing process of, “Blurred Lines” Thicke states, “I was high on Vicodin and alcohol when I showed up at the studio.”

During an interview last year with GQ, the Paula singer also admits that he mentioned to Pharrell that he wanted to create a song that was similar to Gaye’s “Got To Give It Up” and he did. When the interview was bought up during the deposition, Thicke’s response was, “With all due respect, I was high and drunk every time I did an interview last year.” Damn! He also adds, “Every day, I woke up, I would take a Vicodin to start the day and then I would fill up a water bottle with vodka and drink it before and during my interviews.” TWEEKED!

Blame it on the drugs, huh?

After the Vicodin story broke, Thicke’s attorney Howard King tells TMZ:

“Robin’s moment of personal vulnerability is being exploited in the hope of diverting attention from the obvious weakness of their legal claim.”
