Kanye West has been the target of a lot of media scrutiny for a comment he allegedly made towards disabled people during a show in Australia, and his wife, Kim, is not having it!
In cased you missed it, Kanye didn’t want to finish a song until everyone in the crowd stood up.
When he spotted two people who still weren’t standing, West was allegedly upset saying, “This was the longest I’ve had to wait to do a song. It’s unbelievable.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, one of those individuals had a prosthetic limb, and another was in a wheelchair.
So of course, the media took this story and ran with it, twisting the story and making Kanye public enemy number one, again.
But here comes Kim to the rescue, defending her husband and setting the record straight on Instagram saying:
“What an amazing Australian tour! Its frustrating that something so awesome could be clouded by lies in the media. Kanye never asked anyone in a wheel chair to stand up & the audience videos show that. He asked for everyone to stand up & dance UNLESS they were in a wheel chair. #JustWantedEveryoneToHaveAFunNight #TheMediaTwistsThings.”
