This friday night two people were shot on a busy street lined with bars and restaurants on the Upper West Side.
The two victims were shot separately on the corners of 83rd Street and Amsterdam and 84th Street and Amsterdam and taken to St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital. Thankfully their injuries did not appear to be life- threatening. See more below!
Witnesses said that officers without uniform responded immediately and one witness, who was taking footage of the aftermath, said that a suspect was apprehended on site.
Witness Evan Roe gave this statement:
“I was standing outside waiting for a table when some guy pulled out a gun and started shooting at people… When the cops arrived and arrested him, he was standing right next to me with his gun.”
Police assured a suspect was being questioned. . .
