Ironic! The ‘High School’ singer, Nicki Minaj, was denied to speak at her own high-school.
Nicki Minaj took to Twitter to express her sincere disappoint and confusion at the situation.
Nicki Minaj attended New York’s LaGuardia High School in the Upper Westside. She told her followers that she was interested in speaking at her former high school, but soon found out that the principal was not going to allow that to happen.
YMCMB rap star tweeted, “I wanted to go back to my HS and speak to the students but the new principal declined. No need for me to inspire them, I guess. Smh.” She continued on with, “that school changed my life and I wanted to pay it forward to the students there now. I was really looking forward to it.”
In previous sit-downs with Nicki, she expressing only love for her former high school, and always described how it shaped her into who she is. “It was the first time I felt like I really fit in everyone there was so creative,” she said of her school to Teen Vogue in 2013.
Nicki still isn’t sure the reason behind why she wasn’t allowed to speak there.
