As Usher sets to go on tour with August Alsina in November, the R&B star has been busy preparing his upcoming album “UR,” which Usher confirms will feature Drake. In an interview with VIBE, Usher talks about how his collaboration with Drake came about.
Usher tells VIBE that Drake stopped by the set for his video “She Only Came To Give It You,” featuring Nicki Minaj, and played some music for Drake in his car. Drake fell in love with one track in particular, and the collaboration was born.
“He was in love with the record the first time he heard it. He said, ‘I really feel like I could do this record a service and just take it up another notch. It’s great, and I’d love to be a part of this one.”
The singer didn’t want to get into much detail, but Usher did reveal that Drake “touches on some pretty personal stuff” in the song.
