Completely outraged! The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has taken a turn down the wrong path and it’s truly disheartening. Earlier this week in Bay Village, Ohio a disgusting prank was played on a 14 year-old autistic teen who thought he was completing the Ice Bucket Challenge. Instead students, who remain unidentified, poured a bucket of urine, feces, and spit on him. See more below!
The teen’s parents reported the incident to Bay Village police Wednesday after finding the footage in their sons phone. The police are conducting an investigation to find those responsible for the prank and leaking the video.
When interviewed the Police Chief Mark Spaetzel had this response:
“To me, it’s reprehensible … that these kids would take advantage of a vulnerable teenager,” said Spaetzel, who called a video of the incident one of the most disturbing things he’s seen during his law enforcement career.”
Drew Carey, comedian and host of The Price is Right, tweeted that if they were looking to start a reward fund to find the bullies he would donate $10k.
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has helped to gain awareness and support for Lou Gehrig’s disease and it is truly unfortunate that something so positive has been turned into such an incriminating and vile act of bullying.
