The Atlanta-based artist is truly out here grinding. Not only has he collaborated with the biggest name in music, Drake, with “Club Going Up On A Tuesday” remix, but now has another collaboration with a music heavy-hitter, Miley Cyrus.
ILOVEMAKONNEN spoke to MTV News about his friendship with Miley Cyrus and working with her and Mike Will on her new album.
“Me and Miley Cyrus are friends; I don’t have her number, but we’re friends,” the singer and rapper said to MTV News. “We’re online friends and in-person friends.”
It turns out that his personal relationship with the pop-star is also a working relationship.
“I got a song with her — wrote a few songs for her,” he said. “Working on her new album. Doing some stuff with Mike Will and her.”
“It’s almost like a Grammy nomination song, because it’s kind of heartfelt, and almost country,” he added. “It’s gonna be deep when it comes out. It’s definitely not like the clubby type of poppy record. It’s more like a real timeless, heartfelt record that’s gonna be picked up in movies and sh–. Girls are gonna cry over their ex-boyfriends to it, and the same for guys crying over their girl.”
