Chris Brown’s initial plea of not guilty is out the window. This morning (Sept. 2), the X artist showed up to court and dropped the bomb that he would be pleading guilty to assault charges leading back to the October incident in D.C.

Chris allegedly hauled off and hit a fan who tried to take a picture with the crooner. That lead to D.C. filing charges that he can now put behind him. Yes, Breezy fans can unclench their pearls, because he will not be doing any additional jail time. He’s been granted time served for his March arrest. Aren’t some people just lucky.

After the announcement of the plea, Brown made a quick statement:

“I would like to say to the court that I’m sorry.”
