Despite the tons of “F*!% Hartford” T-shirts sold, Dave Chappelle surprised many fans with his appearance at the Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival. Saturday night, he was welcomed with an amazing standing ovations, as opposed to boos and jeering.
Chappelle says “I did not think I would ever come back to Hartford again. It was a year ago tonight, I had 364 nights to think about that fatal night one year ago.” The audience warmly received Chappelle as he closed out the Funny Or Die’s Oddball Festival – an immense upgrade from the first appearance. Hopefully his relationship with Connecticut’s capital will maintain positive vibes from this point on.
