The three-team trade sending Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers is finally official. To go along with his new start, Love has decided to wear a new number. There’s just one problem, the number was worn but another one of the Cavs new additions.
Buried in the Cavaliers press release listing off Love’s accomplishments and skills, they also mentioned this tidbit:
Love will wear #0 with the Cavs.
Only one minor issue. The Cavs also recently signed Shawn Marion who has been rocking the number 0 with the Dallas Mavericks for the past five seasons. Since the team is already selling Love merchandise with the number 0, I guess it’s already been established that Marion will select a new number. Marion has worn other numbers previously so it’s probably not that big of a deal.
