It looks like Amir Khan may finally get his wish to fight Floyd Mayweather and all it took was to bring Manny Pacquiao’s name into the mix.
Khan knows fighting either Mayweather or Pacquiao will bring him the big purse he’s seeking but so far both fighters have ditched him and chosen other opponents. Khan was still optimistic that he will get a chance to fight both boxers and when asked who would be more difficult he replied, “Mayweather would be a very technical fight, like a game of chess. But I think Manny would be harder. He’s much more aggressive and it would be more intense.”
Well of course Mayweather didn’t take too kindly to those comments as he himself has a long history with Pacquiao after several complications stopped their long awaited bout from happening. He does have some words for Khan however.
“If you ask me will the fight happen – then I would say yes. I hope next year – but these fights are always about timing”, Mayweather said to Daily Mail.
“I saw the comments where he thought Manny would give him a tougher fight than me. I have no response to that. I will just remind him of those comments after I have beaten him.”
