It’s August 23rd, Andrew Wiggins is finally allowed to be traded which means the Kevin Love saga is finally over and the trade is complete! The Timberwolves decided to go old school and make the announcement in the newspaper.
The final trade agreement is a three-team trade between the Minnesota Timberwolves, Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers.
Timberwolves receive: Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, Thaddeus Young and a trade exception (which allows teams to acquire players via trade without taking players back in return) worth more than $5 million
Sixers receive: Luc Mbah a Moute, Alexey Shved (both expiring contracts) and a 2015 first-round pick (via the Miami Heat)
Cavs receive: Kevin Love
The Timberwolves placed an ad in the Pioneer Press to introduce their new young stars of Wiggins, Bennett, Young and Zach LaVine, their first round draft pick.
