It’s been almost a week since 18-year-old Michael Brown was shot and killed by a local Ferguson, Mo police officer. The incident has caused plenty of outrage – involving tear gar and rubber bullets – all across the globe and it hasn’t stopped yet. The #DontShoot campaign on twitter had everyone from the hacking group, Anonymous to young teens protesting and wondering why the officer who shot Brown remained a mystery. Today, the police has given us a name – Darren Wilson.

Tues., [Aug. 12], the police department had planned on reveling the officer’s name, but later refused in order to protect his safety. Now, the cat’s out of the bag. It could be because, Anonymous named another individual as the shooter, whom Ferguson police denied even worked for their force.
Wilson, a six-year veteran of the Ferguson force, responded to a strong-arm robbery at a gas station immediately before the shooting, police said. It’s unclear if the teen was involved in the robbery.
Media inquired in Mike Brown was involved in the robbery, which likely he is not since cameras caught a guy punching the store’s clerk in the face. This will be a long investigation.
There has been know word if Wilson will be charged with any crime.
