The injured Pacers star recently changed his number from 24 to 13 and ended up buying out the old jerseys. Hit the jump for details.
Players who change their numbers after the deadline are responsible for buying all excess uniforms from the jersey’s manufacturers. Even though George submitted his paperwork on time, he elected to buy many of the jerseys and donated them to his old high school.

Well, at least, he had a ton of them in his possession. Late yesterday, George took to Twitter and revealed that, rather than keep the jerseys in his basement or throw them away, he decided to donate all of the No. 24 jerseys that he bought from adidas to his alma mater Knight High School in Palmdale, Calif.
The students posted many pictures of them rocking the jerseys. It was pretty cool!
