Retired NFL tight end Tony Gonzalez got himself a nice job as an analyst with CBS. Well now both his wife and ex-girlfriend/babymother are both trying to get into the TV business as well. The only problem is, they’re both competing for the same job!
The future Hall of Famer’s wife, October Gonzalez and his ex-gf and mother of his first child, Lauren Sanchez are both vying for the job. Sources connected to ‘View’ producers confirmed to TMZ Sports that October taped several test segments in NYC. Lauren and several other candidates were also there.
October was a late addition to the audition process, while Lauren’s been in contention for a while. She co-hosted an episode that aired last week and she was a leading candidate for the show back in 2000.
There most likely will NOT be room for both women on the set. Producers are looking for one Latin and one conservative co-host, so Lauren and October are both vying for that Latina seat.
Good luck to both women. As for Tony, I’d stay out of it.
