As I posted earlier, there was a massive welcome home rally for LeBron James in Akron on Friday night. The main focus was that James declared he has no intentions on leaving the Cavaliers again. He has things he wants to get done, and to him it would be his greatest achievement ever.
“My No. 1 goal is to win a championship here; it’d be the greatest achievement in my life,” James said. “I don’t plan on going nowhere. I don’t have the energy to do it again.”
The Cavaliers are trying their best to do everything right this time around including bringing in vets Mike Miller and James Jones, and a monster trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves to acquire Kevin Love. They’re also trying to sign free agent veteran Shawn Marion.
James said even with these moves, he’s not expecting the team to come together quickly.
“Even with the veterans we’ve brought in, even if we’re able to acquire Kevin Love two weeks from now, it’s still going to be a process,” James said. “I know that firsthand. It was a process when I was in Cleveland. It was a process in Miami. It’s going to be a challenge.”
