At it’s third annual event that’s scheduled to take place August 6-9 in Los Angeles, the Indie Entertainment Summit Conference & Hip Hop Honors will be honoring Tupac, Ruthless Records, and also Priority Records. This adds to a growing list of once prominent people that helped pioneer the west coast sound in music. More info after the jump.
According to HipHopDx, last year, N.W.A was honored at the Indie Entertainment Summit in North Hollywood, California. The Compton, California-based Rap group consisted of Eazy-E, Ice Cube, MC Ren, Dr. Dre and DJ Yella and was honored at IES for the role it played in independent music.
With that being said, it’s only right for early affiliates to now be included.
