Dwyane Wade has been revealing the last days before LeBron James made his decision to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The two spent much of the final days together in Las Vegas. Wade said he knew exactly when he realized James wasn’t coming back but he also revealed another interesting tidbit, he didn’t try to make him stay.

“I went to sleep knowing. He called me the next day. But I knew then. Obviously he still had to say the final yay or nay, but I knew. I could tell.”
Wade said he remains friends with James and looks forward to seeing him again. He commended him for making the decision that best served his interests.
He also made clear that he did not spend the week in Las Vegas trying to convince James to stay with the Heat.
“No, I don’t recruit,” he said. “I ain’t gonna recruit him. I ain’t gotta recruit him.”
