Just a couple of months ago Andrew Wiggins was going to be the guy to help turn things around for the Cleveland Cavaliers and now he’s practically on his way out. By now everyone knows that the Cavaliers are engaged in heavy trade talks with the Minnesota Timberwolves to acquire Kevin Love. Talks only further heated up once the Cavaliers relented and agreed to include the No. 1 draft pick, Andrew Wiggins.
The Timberwolves announced that trade is expected on August 23rd or 24th and now the NBA store has “discontinued” Wiggins’ Cavaliers jersey further insinuating what we all believe, that a deal between the two teams is imminent.

A link to the page can be found here, which shows Wiggins’ jersey as having been “discontinued.” It’s noteworthy because there are plenty of jerseys available for other recently-drafted players, including Dante Exum, Julius Randle, and even the injured Joel Embiid. And, when you search for Wiggins on the store site, you are brought to a page that only shows customizable Cavaliers gear, with one t-shirt that shows Wiggins by name and number — though it’s likely that those similarly may never ship.
Wiggins appeared live on ESPN SportsCenter this morning and said, “I just want to play for a team that wants me. So whatever team wants me, I’ll play for.”
