Who knew Sharknado has such a cult following? The second installment of the Sharknado franchise set a network record and was the most talked about thing on social media Wednesday night.
Syfy’s Sharknado 2: The Second One, set a record with 3.9 million viewers for its premiere telecast, making it the most-watched movie in network history. And according to the cable network, it nabbed 1 billion Twitter impressions.
If you missed it, don’t worry. Encores of Sharknado 2 will be airing Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 2 and 3. Oh! There will also be a Sharknado 3 to close off the franchise.
