After revealing his future free agency plans, Kevin Durant has attracted more social media attention than usual. When he announced that there was a possibility of him returning home to Washington, DC and playing for the Wizards. Many people wanted more answers from KD, even though he has another two seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The constant notifications became overbearing and distracting…resulting in him deleting the Twitter app from his phone. Durant currently has over 7 million followers.
During an interview with ESPN’S Darren Rovell, Durant had the following to say:

“I’m just going to delete my Twitter from my phone now. You know, because I don’t want them taking my focus … “
“Is that a joke or no?” Rovell quickly asked.
“No, that’s real. That’s not a joke,” Durant said.
Durant also took to Twitter to confirm it.
