According to sources, the victim — who had accused the Marvel director of molestation — decided to settle for $100,000 tried to renege. However, his uncertainty led his lawyer to drop out of the case.

It also turns out that the $100,000 settlement was just a fraction of Singer’s lawyer fees and if he were to go to court and lose, Michael Egan, the “victim,” would have been awarded millions, leading many to believe that Singer was innocent.
