Messy stuff, literally… Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Cam Thomas is being sued by a woman who claims he gave her herpes.  Thomas says the claim is untrue and the woman is just bitter.  Who’s telling the truth?

According to the lawsuit, filed in San Diego and obtained by TMZ Sports, a woman named “Adrienne” says she started dating Thomas in 2010 and they often had unprotected sex.

Adrienne claims she noticed “puss-filled bumps on his buttocks and inner thigh” and asked about them but he explained they were the result of sweat buildup caused by his football gear.  Adrienne says she also noticed “bruises and sores” in March 2010 and he allegedly tried to hide it from her by saying the sores on his penis were caused by a zipper malfunction.

Adrienne says she was tested in December 2010 and was clean.  She didn’t test positive for genital herpes until February 2012, and claims he is the only person that could have given it to her.  She also claims he was physically abusive.

She’s suing for sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, fraud through intentional concealment and negligence. She’s asking for unspecified damages.

Thomas’ lawyers responded to the claims saying the woman behind the lawsuit is a “bitter girl” who’s after money.

Cam’s Miami-based attorney Adam Kenner continues, “She’s angry, vindictive and mean because he has another woman, and a baby in his life.”

Kenner says the fact that she tested NEGATIVE for herpes during their relationship is strong proof he’s not the one who passed along the disease and claims the fact she tested positive 5 months AFTER they stopped having sex means it’s impossible to pin Cam as the transmitter.

Thomas’ lawyers say he will get tested as a result of the accusation.

As for the allegations of physical abuse, Kenner says those allegations are also B.S saying, “This guy is like a gentle giant.  He would never lay a hand on her.”
