Zoe Saldana spent four hours ‘going green’ for her character in the upcoming Marvel film ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. Saldana says one of the things that kept her sane in the makeup trailer was thinking about all the butt-kicking she’d get to do as an alien superhero. Saldana says, “There are moments in which you kind of want to break free because you’re being touched all the time and that kind of makes me anxious.” She also says, her action roles are ‘very inspiring for young women’…I do enjoy those action roles and it’s also very empowering for young women.”
Her “Guardians” co-star Chris Pratt says, “She walks into the testosterone-fueled room of stuntmen and actors and these guys are like, ‘Here comes a lady, let’s just be a little more careful and gentle…“The next thing you know, she kicks me in the ribs harder than I’ve ever been hit before.”
