Earlier this week, news of a baby Gosling-Mendes shocked the world when actress Eva Mendes revealed she’s expecting a child with longtime boyfriend, Ryan Gosling. Now more details have emerged about the pregnancy, and it turns out – it was a shock to even them!

“It was completely unplanned,” a source close to the pair said. “Ryan was surprised, especially because they had broken up early last year, only to get back together.” However, despite the fact that Ryan has resisted marriage over the years, “Ryan is excited to be a father, and will be very protective.”

As far as 40-year-old Eva goes, “She’s been ready for motherhood for a while now and to be sharing this experience with Ryan is a dream come true for her!” They’re currently looking for a bigger house than Ryan’s 2-bedroom bachelor pad to live in once the baby is born.
