The Lakers went after both LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony but in the end they got Jeremy Lin, Carlos Boozer and Ed Davis, re-signed Nick Young and Xavier Henry and lost Pau Gasol. Some people would consider that a disappointing offseason but Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant feels differently.

“I think Mitch has responded quite efficiently (from missing on Melo/Pau) by picking up some of the pieces he has”
Kobe has been criticized because his new contract takes up a lot of the Lakers cap space while he’s on his last legs. It’ll be difficult to get that sixth ring he’s hoping for but he’s surely going to give it a try. If their season turns out to be another disastrous one, we’re definitely going to hear his feelings on the matter.
