The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards will be going down on Sunday, August 24th in Los Angeles, and none other than Usher has been tapped to kick off the big show! This will be perfect promotion for his forthcoming album, as well as a celebration for the 20th anniversary of his self-titled debut!

Other announced performers for the night include Ariana Grande, who will perform her Zedd-produced single “Break Free” along with 5 Seconds of Summer.
